I have been involved with dogs since 1977. I have bred 130 AKC champion Chesapeakes as well as over 100 performance titled Chesapeakes. I personally competed and titled dogs in conformation (group wins and SS wins), obedience (all levels) and hunt tests to SH level. I feel a sporting breed should be the type for its breed that is required for its work. Retrievers are my specialty.

I have edited a book on Chesapeake Bay retrievers and have given numerous seminars here and abroad. I have judged Chesapeakes & Labs, Flat Coats, & Curly Coated retrievers in 5 different countries (England,Sweden,Denmark, Ireland & Switzerland). I am currently approved for 15 sporting breeds and have an application in for 8 more. I also serve as the AKC delegate for the American Chesapeake Club.
