I was a professional hander for over 30 years before hanging up my leads to judge.  I worked for Cliff and Lois Hallmark in the 70s and have observed various great handlers over the years (Peter Green, Bobby Fisher, Mike Kemp, the Forsyths and Bob Clyde among others).

I have judged various specialty matches and sweeps for breeds other than terriers and have been told I have a good eye.  And I do not look up the lead when I judge!
