Beginning obedience class starting, Monday, July 6, 2009 at 6:30 pm. All basic exercises taught, including, heeling, sit stay, down stay, stand stay and come, plus behavior issues dealt with, such as not jumping on people, not pulling,not biting and not dashing out doors. Class is 7 weeks long, and meets every Monday evening from 6 pm to 7 pm. Cost is $80 for the 7 week class.
Location: Nickolai Kennel, 8006 Plank Rd (Rt 86), Thompson, OH. Directions: Northeast, Ohio. From east side of Cleveland, take I-90 east to the Vrooman Rd exit. At top of ramp, take a right turn onto Vrooman Rd, and go south about a mile. It dead-ends into Rt 86. Turn left onto Rt 86 and drive 5 miles. Kennel is on the right (before you get to Rt 166).
Conformation classes also available, on Monday evenings, 7:30 pm. Cost: $5 per person, even if you have multiple dogs. No sign up necessary, just come any Monday evening, holidays excepted.

YORK KENNEL CLUB is hosting a Bark for Life event with the American Cancer Society on September 19, 2009 at Canine Meadows John Rudy Park York, PA.
CGC TESTING will be offered at the event. Dogs must be registered for the Bark for Life event to participate in the CGC testing. There will be a NEW drop in handling class for all breeds and skill levels on Thursday at Fort Steilacoom Park between the dog park and the big red barn in Lakewood, WA. Park in the parking lot for the dog park. There will be a table available and hopefully we can make this a regular class. Handlers to novice are welcome. Instruction will be given to those who want it, or you can bring your dog just for socialization or practice. There are a lot of shows coming up, so don't miss this opportunity to get your dogs trained! The cost is $10 per handler, NOT per dog, bring as many as you like.
