Notice to Exhibitors (For All Shows) Show Building will be available Tuesday, July 29, 2008, after 3:00 P.M., if available. NO SPACE SAVING: The Event Committee will have final authority to apportion space. Reserved space in Grooming Area will be only with crates. All other equipment will be removed by the Event Committee. Crating will be stacked whenever possible. Crates or grooming will not be allowed on Show Floor. Rugs not allowed in the Show Building. All dogs MUST be kept under control at all times. For this reason we strongly suggest that flexi leads not be used in the grooming area or show building. Building will be available from 6:00 A.M. until 11:00 P.M. each day and Sunday until 7:00 P.M. Dogs may be left in the building overnight Tuesday through Saturday nights at owner's risk. Building will be locked at 11:00 P.M. each night. Dogs will not be allowed in the show building or on the grounds except those entered in these shows. Bathing Tubs available outside West end of building. No chairs, baby strollers or like apparatus allowed on the show floor. No private exercise pens will be allowed in the show building. Exhibitors and handlers will be responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates. Groups will not be judged simultaneously. Parents will be held responsible for children at all times. Cardiac Clinic Thursday, July 31, 2008 Jonathan A. Abbott, DVM, Associate Professor of Cardiology, VMRCVM will perform Auscultation exams for OFA Certification from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. This is done as a pre-breeding or in-breeding examination. Dr. Abbott is board certified by the ACVIM in the specialty of Cardiology. PRE-REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENED. Pre-register by July 24, 2008 and the fee is $30.00. After July 24, 2008 the fee is $35.00

rkc elite dog competition for PUPPIES ONLY YOUR ELITE PUPPY COULD WIN YOU BIG MONEY HELD Saturday, August 2, 2008
There will be a $35.00 cash only entry fee. The winner of the Elite Dog Gold Rosette will receive 50% of the entry, the winner of the Silver Rosette will receive 20% of the entry and the winner of the Bronze Rosette will receive 15% of the entry. No entry fees will be returned. Entries will be taken at the Announcer's Table Friday, August 1, 2008 and Saturday, August 2, 2008 until 12:00 Noon. You must complete the RKC Elite Dog Competition Entry Blank for each dog. The MB-F armband number for the RKC show entered must appear on this entry blank. Judging will start on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 30 minutes after Best in Show.
To qualify for the RKC Elite Dog Competition all puppies must be entered and shown in one of the RKC shows, Friday or Saturday. All entries must be 6-12 months of age and classes will not be divided.
Three judges will be randomly chosen immediately prior to the competition. Judges will be Licensed Handlers, PHA Handlers or AKC Registered Judges.
All dogs will be judged Olympic style using a 1-10 point rating system. Each dog will be judged according to his/her own AKC Standard. Points from all three judges will be tallied after all judging is completed. The dogs with the most points will be examined by each judge to ensure correct mouth/bite and that the dog is unaltered. In case of a tie, the three existing judges and a fourth randomly chosen judge will be issued new scorecards for re-evaluation. NOVICE SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOTICE JUNIORS WHO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE ORIGINAL DOG THEY HAVE ENTERED IN THE JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES WITH DOGS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED IN ONE OF THE OFFERED CLASSES AT THIS SHOW MUST REMIT THE JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY ENTRY FEE WITH THEIR SUBSTITUTION. | ||
