"The Winter Classic Cluster"

Would like to thank you for entering our show and we hope you enjoy your weekend. In an effort to help all exhibitors, please adhere to the rules of the show site. Those choosing not to conform to these rules will face Committee action and/or expulsion from the event.

Grooming Area

The grooming area will be organized by the Show Committee and monitored throughout the weekend.

Space may not be reserved in advance. Space is available on a first come/first served basis.

Exhibitors/Agents shall stack crates/containers and comply with all limitations in the use of grooming tables or ex-pens to assure enough room for all exhibitors.

No floor mats will be allowed.

No crates will be allowed at ringside except "show and go" crates.

All grooming areas must be kept clean.

ALL EX-PENS ARE TO BE TAKEN DOWN 45 MINUTES BEFORE SHOW TIME.

PLEASE NOTE: All grooming/crating in the auditorium MUST be removed by Monday, December 2, by 6:00 P.M.

Building Information

This is a NON-SMOKING facility.

No dogs are allowed in the front lobby area adjacent to the food concessions.

The building will be available to exhibitors Thursday, from 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. Building will be opened at 6:00 A.M. and closed at 10:00 P.M. Friday thru Monday. No vehicles will be allowed in building on Friday.

Dogs may be left in the building overnight, however no person is allowed to sleep overnight in the building.

No parking/blocking of any entrance or exit of the building except for loading/unloading.

Parking will be allowed in designated areas only.

Camping Information

Campsites will be available beginning Monday, November 25. Security will not be provided until Wednesday, November 27. RV parking will be allowed only in designated areas.

Campsites are available for $16.00 a night, which includes electrical hookup. A limited number of sites are available for $25.00 a night that are on asphalt and close to the building. These sites also have electrical hookup.

Campers MUST check in at the pavilion BEFORE parking. After hours, there will be parking/security personnel present throughout the night. Campers without a permit will be towed.

DAY PARKING for RVs will only be allowed in designated area and will be located in the far NORTH lot across the drive from the front of the Pavilion. Overnight RV parking will not be allowed overnight in this lot.

91. Stud Dog Class - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get (except Great Danes & Bouviers des Flandres 2-4 of their Get). It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog MUST be shown in the ring with his Get. Get only to be judged, based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. As the judge's decision in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed or Variety by virtue of having won this class. The entry fee is $15.00 as a first or additional entry.

Canine Good Citizen Test

The Southern Michigan Weimaraner Club, Inc. will sponsor a CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TEST FOR ALL BREEDS at the Motor City Specialty Clubs Friday, November 29, 2002

All dog owners at the show and the Lansing area are invited to participate in this non-competitive program. The Canine Good Citizen Program is designed to reward dogs with basic good manners in the presence of other people and dogs. All dogs passing a ten-item test will earn the title CGC from the American Kennel Club.

This fun event will take place at the MSU Pavilion for Agricultural and Livestock Education, East Lansing, Michigan.

Testing will be held following the conclusion of Weimaraner Breed Judging in the same ring.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is open to purebred and mixed breed dogs. If you wish to participate in this event, pre-register your dog(s) with the form on the next page, or you can pay the day of the test. Admission to the test will be on a first come, first served basis, but those with advance reservations will proceed to the front of the line. All dogs participating will need to present proof of Rabies Vaccination.

"Generations Class" Non-Regular Class offered to all three generation families with one exhibit from each generation of a three generation pedigree, regardless of sex, exhibited from oldest to youngest. All neutered and spayed AKC or CKC registered Weimaraners are eligible. Ownership does not need to be identical. Dog #1 - Father or Mother. Dog #2 - Son or Daughter. Dog #3 - Grandson or Granddaughter. Dogs entered in generations do not have to be entered in a Regular. There is one entry fee of $15.00 for each generations family.

Canine Good Citizen Test

The Southern Michigan Weimaraner Club, Inc. will sponsor a CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TEST FOR ALL BREEDS at the Motor City Specialty Clubs Friday, November 29, 2002

All dog owners at the show and the Lansing area are invited to participate in this non-competitive program. The Canine Good Citizen Program is designed to reward dogs with basic good manners in the presence of other people and dogs. All dogs passing a ten-item test will earn the title CGC from the American Kennel Club.

This fun event will take place at the MSU Pavilion for Agricultural and Livestock Education, East Lansing, Michigan.

Testing will be held following the conclusion of Weimaraner Breed Judging in the same ring.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is open to purebred and mixed breed dogs. If you wish to participate in this event, pre-register your dog(s) with the form on the next page, or you can pay the day of the test. Admission to the test will be on a first come, first served basis, but those with advance reservations will proceed to the front of the line. All dogs participating will need to present proof of Rabies Vaccination.

COST IS $10.00 PER DOG

Entries close 12:00 Noon, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2002 (at Superintendent's Office), after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules.

Telegraph, Telephone (Except Dial-N-Entry Members) and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission and identification before the dog will be received. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the MB-F Office to which you sent your entries. Entries must be accompanied by a cover sheet stating the number of pages, what shows and how many dogs per show. Visa/Mastercard number and expiration date, as well as the printed cardholder's name and address must be included on cover sheet. Visa/Mastercard number, expiration date, cardholder's name must appear on each entry. Fax entries must be received by the closing hour/date. Fax fee: $4.50 per entry in addition to entry fee. All credit card entries, regardless of method submitted, are processed through the Fax program and are charged the $4.50 processing fee. This Fax Fee is subject to change without notice.

Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to MB-F, Inc. CANADIAN exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Superintendent assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no refunds $4.00 and under will be made.

A Recording Fee of 50¢ will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2).

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance.

Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Event Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made.

Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

An Adminstrative Fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.

Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.

Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.

All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.

Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent's Office advised at once. The Superintendents and show-giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.

No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted.

AGREEMENT

I (we) acknowledge that the "Rules Applying to Dog Shows/Registration and Discipline" and, if this entry is for an obedience trial, the "Obedience Regulations," have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) waive any and all claims, causes of action, I (we) might otherwise have against the AKC and any AKC approved judge, judging at this show, under AKC Rules, Regulations and Guidelines." I (we) agree that the club holding this show or obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes.

INSTRUCTIONS


1. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
