Dear Exhibitors,

Welcome to the Memorial Day Dog Shows at Butler County Fairgrounds, approximately 25 miles north of Cincinnati and 30 miles south of Dayton, Ohio. This tree-lined fairgrounds is within a few minutes of I-75. There are numerous and varied motels close by.

Other than Afghan Hounds, who have their own tenting, show rings are inside and protected from the elements. The grounds are primarily grass with excellent drainage and paved roadways. Water is available at the buildings and on the grounds. Inside restroom & shower facilities are available.

No traffic allowed in vendor area during show hours. Obey all traffic signs, please.

Security will be at the gate and will handle all parking and assist with the traffic. There is a 5-mile per hour speed limit on the grounds including the horse area. No open fires are permitted Watch your children!

A wide variety of refreshments and ice is available on the show grounds. There is a 24-hour supermarket within walking distance.

GATES OPEN NOON THURSDAY.

Notices

Please do your part to keep the show grounds clean so that the show site will be available for future shows.

Use of private exercise pens will be limited at the discretion of the Show Committee. Public exercise pens will be provided for your use, please use them. Show Committee reserves the right to remove exercise pens from under covered grooming areas.

Crates in the show buildings are with the permission of the Show Committee.

No crates are allowed in the Goat Barn.

Grooming allowed in designated areas only.

The sale and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages must be consistent with Ohio Liquor Control Laws and with the permission of the Butler County Fairgrounds management.

There is only ONE entrance at the intersection of Route 4 and Fair Ave.

Grounds will be available Thursday, May 25th at 12:00 Noon. Gate closes at 12:00 midnight.

Gate opens at 6:00 A.M. and closes at 12:00 midnight Friday through Monday. Dogs may remain on the grounds until 9:00 P.M. Monday, May 29th.

At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Petits Bassets Griffons Vendeens, Staffordshire Bull Terriers & Bulldogs.

Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In an emergency situation, an exhibitor does have the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund).

All rights to TELEVISE, VIDEO TAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit these events are vested in the CLUBS, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Clubs. All persons and animals on the Showgrounds and anytime while the shows are in progress, do by attending these shows or participating therein, grant to the Clubs the right to photograph, televise, video tape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Kennel Clubs are not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at these shows.

All Purina Prizes, if not awarded in the ring, must be picked up during the event at the ralston purina booth. Presentation of the winning ribbon is required. Ralston Purina reserves the right to make prize substitutions of equal or greater value in the event a specific listed prize is not available.

176. Rescue Parade - Welsh Corgis (Pembroke) Parade will be during Lunch Break. All exhibitors and show spectators are encouraged to cheer on these Rescue Pembroke Welsh Corgis and their new proud owners. Each participant will be given a Special Rosette.

Non-Regular Classes - Involving Multiple Dog Entries

BOSTON TERRIERS, BULLDOGS & PEMBROKE WELSH CORGIS

91. Stud Dog - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get (except St. Bernards, two but not more than four of their get). It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately or in one of the Regular Classes. Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog and two of its Get shall be considered as one entry and requires only one entry fee, this being the Additional Class fee for the Unit, if the Stud Dog is entered in a Regular Class. If entered for Stud Dog only, the $19.00 Regular Class fee will be charged for the Unit. The Stud Dog MUST be shown in the ring with the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the Standard for its breed.

92. Brood Bitch - Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.

93. Brace Class - BOSTON TERRIERS ONLY- Will be for two dogs of identical ownership. Entry fee will be $12.00 for the Brace as a UNIT. The dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class it must be entered for "Brace Class Only", with a fee of $12.00 for each dog. In making entries for Brace Class Only, full particulars must be given for each dog on individual regular entry forms. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as a part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes - "Brace Class". If more than one Brace is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising EACH Brace must be so designated, "Brace No. 1", Brace No. 2", etc.
