CHALLENGE TROPHIES Best of Breed. The friends of Jack & Catherine (Kit) Grube offer through the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco for competition at the Annual Specialty Show of the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco (SCGSF), the GRUBE MEMORIAL TROPHY. This trophy features a watercolor portrait of the Grube's Ch. Celerity Gharbi Sahib Tali, mounted and preserved in a protective ash case. The watercolor was originally commissioned by the SCGSF in 1981 as a gift to Jack, who served the SCGSF as its President, supported by Kit for many years, providing a strong foundation and a positive example for the SCGSF membership. Upon the passing of both Jack and Kit, their family generously donated the portrait for its inclusion in this special trophy. For permanent possession, the trophy must be won three times by a dog with identical ownership, yet not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive shows. The trophy will remain in the possession of the Grube family until retired. A photograph of the trophy will be presented to each winner. Extended Generation Class Winner. The Skupny Family offer through the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco, in memory of Ch. Kenmar-Knoll Wamiqa Kyzyl Kum and Ch. D'ansor's Jerzy's Jeep - an exquisite resin sculpture of a reclining Saluki on a wooden base. For permanent possession, it must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. Trophy to remain in the possession of donors until retired. All gray water (which includes soapy water from washing dogs) must be discharged into sanitary sewer systems only and not dumped onto the ground or into storm drains. A hefty fine can be leveled against offenders. Del Valle will be placing Dog Bathtubs around the grounds for your convenience. Please check the Fairgrounds map in the Judging Program for designated dog washing locations. We will do our best to make it easy for all of you.
Show Limits The Jockeys, trainers and horse owners have asked that no exhibitors or dogs be allowed by horse stables, race track or horse exercise areas. It frightens their animals. Please abide by their wishes.
