Special Event Attraction Offered at this Show is as Follows: Best Veteran In Show Judge: Mrs. Janet Leslie Buchanan FOLLOWING Best of Breed/Variety judging there will be a class for Best of Breed Veteran. Dogs and Bitches entered in these classes DO NOT compete for Best of Breed and may be spayed or neutered, except Alaskan Malamutes will be eligible for Best of Breed. In the case of Best Veteran, winners of the Veteran Classes (Specialty Shows Only) would return to the Ring for the judging of Best Veteran Class. to Enter, print "Special Veteran Class" in the space provided for "Dog Show Class" or "Additional Classes" on the Entry Blank. There will be a class offered for Veteran Dogs, and a class offered for Veteran Bitches, (Seven (7) Years & Older) (except Specialty Breeds as noted in Classification) in All Breeds, with a selection of Best Veteran in Each Breed (following the judging of Best in Breed), for that Breed. All Best Veteran Breed Winners will compete in their respective Groups for Best Veteran in show prior to judging Best in Show. All Regular Classes are divided by sex and are offered for all breeds or varieties of breeds unless otherwise noted in the Breed List. Where classes are further divided by color, weight, or other breed characteristics, it is so indicated in the Breed List and the class division MUST be indicated on the entry form. Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries FOR ALL BREEDS EXCEPT ALASKAN MALAMUTES 81. Veteran Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches 7 years old and over. FOR ALASKAN MALAMUTES ONLY 242. Veteran Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches 8 years old and under 10 years. 274. Veteran Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches 10 years old and under 12 years. 374. Veteran Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches 12 years old and over. 88. Working Dog Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches that have earned an Alaskan Malamute Club of America Working Dog Certificate. Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries For Alaskan Malamutes Only 91. Stud Dog - Will be for Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed. An entry fee of $23.00 will be charged for the Stud Dog. 92. Brood Bitch - Will be for Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. Owner of Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of Produce. Produce only to be judged based on the merits of the Produce. Produce MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed. An entry fee of $23.00 will be charged for the Brood Bitch. As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed or Variety by virtue of having won this class. |
93. Brace - Two dogs of identical ownership and the same breed. Dogs may be entered for Brace Competition for an additional fee of $23.00 per Unit. Dogs competing in the Brace Class must be entered in a Regular or Non-Regular Class. Brace Class must be noted on the entry form in the space for "Additional Classes". 900. OBEDIENCE TRIAL CLASSES The regular entry fee will be charged in these classes. The particular class you desire to enter must be shown on the entry form. Dogs entered in Breed Classes may also be entered in these classes by paying the regular fee. Bitches in Season - Since Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in Obedience Trials, the Club will refund all but $2.00 of the entry fee for bitches entered in obedience and unable to compete for this reason. The Superintendent must be notified of such claim for refund at the show or by letter postmarked OCTOBER 11, 2002 or eariler. Qualifying Score Required for All Prizes "Dog" means either sex. Please Remember _ Show Grounds have been increasingly difficult to obtain. We expect each and every exhibitor to observe good housekeeping practices and reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who is unwilling to comply. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. We recommend all exhibitors have a First Aid Kit in their vehicles. A VETERINARIAN will be on the premises the Day of the Show. Any dog is in need of veterinary services within the R.K.C. show hours may have the Veterinarian in Attendance examine and treat such dog. The fees will be the responsibility of the owner/agent.
RULES FOR PARKING All vehicles must park in the same direction as parking space lines. Oversize vehicles must be parked as directed by parking attendants. Non-compliance with Parking Rules and/or Parking Attendants, could result in an Event Committee Hearing.
Overnight parking on Saturday, October 12, 2002 will be by reservation only. A $25.00 Overnight Parking Fee is required for Non-Reserved Spaces; if space allows. No Vehicles permitted on Show Grounds after 11 PM, Saturday, October 12th, until the hour of 6 AM, October 13th. Please have your Pre-Registration Ticket with you (No Allowances)

Exhibitors Notice PLEASE NOTE: No one will be permitted on the shows grounds Saturday without a pre-paid parking reservation. Attendants will direct you to your parking area. Abusive language and/or behavior towards any parking attendant, or Club Official, will result in an Event Committee Hearing and/or the loss of parking privileges. Your cancelled check is your receipt. The parking supervisior will have a master list of paid reservations; only those on the list will be allowed to park overnight. All parking on October 12th & 13th will be controlled by security personnel. No Spaces Will Be Saved, No Exceptions: No saving of spaces by cones, ex-pens, chairs, etc. will be allowed. You are urged to carry fire extinguishers in each vehicle for your safety and that of your fellow exhibitors. There are no electrical or water hook-ups at this show.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Telegraph, Telephone (Except Dial-N-Entry Members) and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Mail All Entries With Fees to MB-F, Inc., Superintendent, P.O. Box 22107, Greensboro, North Carolina 27420. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission and identification before the dog will be received. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the MB-F Office to which you sent your entries. All credit card entries, regardless of method submitted, are processed through the Fax program and are charged the $4.50 processing fee. This Fax Fee is subject to change without notice. Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to MB-F, Inc. CANADIAN exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. Superintendent assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no refunds $4.00 and under will be made. A Recording Fee of 50¢ will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Event Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. An Adminstrative Fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent's Office advised at once. The Superintendents and show-giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted. | ||
