I-71 from the North - Go South on I-71 to Exit #32 (Morrow/Lebanon Rt. 123). West on 123 to Rt. 63. Follow 63 West until dead-ends into Rt. 4. Take 4 South to Hamilton, show site on left.

I-75 from the North or South - Exit #24 (Rt. 129). West on 129 until the freeway ends at Fair Avenue. Turn right on Fair Avenue for about ½ mile. Fairground entrance on right.

I-71 from the South - Combines with I-75 South of Cincinnati. Go North into Ohio to Exit #24 (Rt. 129). Then follow I-75 North or South directions.

I-74 from the West - Take the I-275 to I-75. Then follow I-75 North or South directions.

Welcome

To the Memorial Day Dog Shows at Butler County Fairgrounds, approximately 25 miles North of Cincinnati and 30 miles South of Dayton, Ohio. This tree-lined fairgrounds is within a few minutes of I-75. There are numerous and varied motels close by.

Other than Afghan Hounds, who have their own tenting, show rings are inside and protected from the elements. The grounds are primarily grass with excellent drainage and paved roadways. Water is available at the buildings and on the grounds. Inside restrooms & shower facilities are available. A wide variety of refreshments and ice is available on the show grounds.

We hope you enjoy our shows and will return each year.

At the discretion of the judge, the following breed may be judged on a ramp: Bulldogs.

Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In an emergency situation, an exhibitor does have the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund).

GATES OPEN THURSDAY 4:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M.; FRIDAY 8:00 A.M. TO 11:00 P.M. & SATURDAY TO MONDAY 6:00 A.M. TO 11:00 P.M. DOGS MAY REMAIN ON GROUNDS UNTIL AFTER BEST IN SHOW ON MONDAY.

Security will be at the gate and will handle all parking and assist with the traffic. There is a 5 mile per hour speed limit on the grounds including the horse area. Watch your children!

No traffic allowed in the vendor area during the show hours. Please obey all traffic signs.

No open fires are permitted.

Use of private exercise pens will be limited at the discretion of the Event Committee. Public exercise pens will be provided for your use, please use them. Event Committee reserves the right to remove exercise pens from under covered grooming areas.

Crates in the show buildings are with the permission of the Event Committee.

Grooming allowed in designated areas only.

The sale and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages must be consistent with Ohio Liquor Control Laws and with the permission of the Butler County Fairgrounds management.

Parking

Overnight Parking for self-contained vehicles (RVs) is $30.00 per night. No water hookups or dumping station are available. Electrical hookups available on first come, first served basis. There is a $15.00 charge per day for electric. Restrooms are indoors & free showers are available. In the event of inclement weather, parking may be restricted in the RV area.

The Bred-by-Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are:

· Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show;

· Not Champions of record on the date of closing of entries for the show;

· Individually registered with the American Kennel Club as of the date of closing of entries for the show;

· Owned or co-owned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the closing of entries for the show.

· The person handling the dog in this class must be a breeder of record and an owner of record of this dog.

· In any subsequent classes for which the dog from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class becomes eligible, there are no restrictions as to who may handle.

NR2.097. Parade of Veterans - AFGHANS HOUNDS - SATURDAY ONLY - Non-Competitive class open to all dogs and bitches champions and non-champions who are seven (7) years of age and over on the day of the show. Parade of Veterans must be marked on the entry form. Entry fee is $5.00.

NR2.176. Parade of Rescue Dogs - AFGHANS HOUNDS - SATURDAY ONLY - Non-Competitive class open to all dogs and bitches that have been placed through a rescue program. Minimum age of each entrant is 6 months on the day of the show. Parade of Rescue Dogs must be marked on the entry form and include as much information as is available. Be sure to include owner's name & address. Entry fee is $5.00.

NR2.091. Stud Dog - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately or in one of the Regular Classes. Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog MUST be shown in the ring with the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the Standard for its breed. Entry fee is $20.00.

NR2.092. Brood Bitch - Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.

NR2.093. Brace Class - BOSTON TERRIERS - SATURDAY ONLY - Two dogs of the same breed or variety and must have at least one common owner and presented by a maximum of two handlers. The dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class it must be entered for "Brace Class Only". In making entries for Brace Class Only, full particulars must be given for each dog on individual regular entry forms. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as a part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes - "Brace Class". If more than one Brace is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising EACH Brace must be so designated, "Brace No. 1", Brace No. 2", etc. Entry fee is $20.00 per unit.

The Afghan Hound Club of Southwestern Ohio, Inc. reserves the right to substitute an unavailable prize with one of equal or greater value.
