Melek, he is my wonder dog. A service dog for me working along my side as I gain independence each day. And now at the age of 7 and a half he finally has his AKC status. Melek has a Championship already as at the International dog shows. IABCA two Best In Shows Bred By in three days over the three day weekend, and over several well known handlers and breeders, on 9/18/98 and 9/20/98.
At this time I really did not know much about dog show and nothing about the world of AKC, not having a dog in AKC.
This was our last time showing until now, my dream of being able to show Melek in AKC. He has a front that is so very correct, and a head that is of the dogs who come out of Turkey. Very large. This is a very large dog, with lots of power, lots of drive, wonderfully put together and lots of heart.
He was born on a ranch, has worked on a ranch, moved to a ghetto due to my health and need for cancer treatments, been shot, saved my life several times. This is one of those wonder dogs. He is my Melek, my Turkish angel, that is what the name means. Actually his full name
IABCA, Ch. Melek Kopek Yavrusu CGC, SD., and that means angel puppy dog in Turkish of course. Sad to say Melek Passed over the bridge 02/28/2007
