Vickee's A Angel was my first show dog and is a beautiful example of the breed. Angel has a page like this of her own as well. The father, Fonze (Ch Sherwood's Significant Other), is multi Group winner and multi BISS winner. He is a wonderful looking and structured top show male. Angel and Fonze share many great show dogs/bitches in their pedigrees. They also support and balance each other in their strengths and weaknesses. It was a very good match. Angel gave birth to 5 girls. The STARTING LINE litter, as they were called, were nicknamed after NASCAR race tracks. First born was of course named after the first race track of the season - Daytona. Then came Phoenix, Pocono (now called Lotus), Fontana (now called Sprite), and Sonoma. I selected Daytona, now called Vickee, because she seemed to most closely inherited the strengths of her parents that I was hoping for. Vickee will be starting her show career in mid Nov. of 2004, but has already had success show in first, and so far only, puppy match. Vickee won both breed and a Group 2. Vickee’s AKC name is in the VosDal tradition of honoring the NASCAR racing family - the Pettys. Angel was named in honor of the late Adam Petty who died way too young. All puppies that are and will descend from her will also carry names to honor Adam. The Petty family has started a charity vacation camp in Adam’s honor for seriously ill and dying children. The name of the camp is The Victory Junction Gang. So Vickee is VosDal’s Victory Junction. We are looking forward to watching her and her sisters grow and develop. NEWS FLASH.... 12/12/04 Vickee WOWs the Crown Classic Shows in Cleveland. Vickee went 1st in the 6-9 month old puppy class all 4 days in both regular classes and the 2 puppy sweeps. Vickee was awarded Best Puppy at Specialty at the Buckeye Keeshond Club Specialty on 12/11/04 by Judge Kenneth Miller. The next day, Vickee was awarded Best In Sweeps by judge Sue Kite. Then Vickee was award Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners for a 4 PT MAJOR by judge Joan Alexander. Vickee was just over 6 1/2 months old and this was only her second set of shows. We are so proud of her. NEWS FLASH .... 4/3/05 Vickee became a Champion on 4/2/05 at the Western Penn. KC show by taking WB/BW/BOS for a 4 pt major by Judge Frank Sabella. He commented that she was an outstanding representative of the breed and a NATURAL show dog. Thank you Mr. Sabella!! This was her 6th straight show of being awarded Winners Bitch to finish at only 10 months old. Vickee then topped that the next day as a first time Champion by taking Best of Breed with an entry of 22 dogs with three nice male special there. What a girl. Vickee will be specialed off and on during the rest of 2005 while she matures. We hope to specialize her strongly in 2006. ***News Flash*** 4/16/05 .... Vickee is awarded her 2nd Best in Puppy Sweepstakes (BISw). What a girl! **** Another News Flash **** Vickee was awarded an Award Of Merit at the Buckeye 2005 National Specialty. There were over 90 Champions and only 6 AOM were given. Vickee also was the youngest Champion at the National by many months. She showed like she had been there many times before. She is just so special! ***** News Flash!! ***** Sept 17, 2005... Vickee wins her 3rd Best in Sweepstakes at the KCDV Speciality. Breaking News .... Vickee wins BOB at Buckeye Specialty in Cleveland over some of the TOP dogs in the country at only 18 months old. Thank you Judge Wuest!!! Pending verification, this places Vickee in the top 5 in both Breed and Show bitches. What a first year of show for my very special girl. ***** Vickee was the # 17 keeshond in the breed, #5 keeshond show bitch, and #4 Keeshond bitch in the breed for 2005. Not too bad for 18 months of age and her first year of showing! ***** ---- NEWS FLASH ----- April 27, 2007 Vickee won BOSS at the CKC's 50th Aniv. Fall Specialty Show. With this win she complete her requirements for Hall of Fame. Shown all the way by her breeder/owner -- me. 2007 - What a year for Vickee. She ended her 3rd year of showing as #21 show Kees, #12 Kees in the Breed, #4 Show Bitch and #2 Kees Bitch in the Breed!!!!!! She was also the #1 Breeder/Owner/Handled Kees Bitch in the breed. That is 3 years in a row that Vickee was in both the Top 20 for the Breed and Top 5 for Bitches in the Breed. Shown only by myself and not even 3 1/2 years old. What a dog! 2008 was a very good year for Vickee. Vickee added the title of CGC to her name. In her 4th year of showing, she was #19 show Kees, tied for #5 Kees in the breed, #2 show Bitch, #2 Kees Bitch in the breed and again the #1 Breeder/Owner/Handled Bitched in breed and this year also as the #1 show Bitch. Vickee and I have had a great time show the last fourth years. It is my hope that 2009 will add the title of Brood Bitch to the list of her achievements. It is our hope that she will produce as wonderful puppies as her Mom Angel had done.
