He is now in his veteran years and is only shown at Specialties as a veteran. He exhibited his carriage and his long neck in the show ring during his prime time. He has true silver and black color. His face has correct kees markings as well as being well pigmented. He has a full body and stands 19' tall. His front is what most kees people wish they could have in their kees fronts, straight on every time. His temperament is very sweet, gentle and livable! Hard to come by in today's high-energy keeshonden. SmoKee was being campaigned in the midwest and did very well with his co-breeder, Kathy Stekli-Barker. He was ranked #1 show KEES, 1998, in the Great Lakes Region (IL, MI, OH, WI & IN), as tabulated by Hoflin Publishing, Inc. Smokee won the Capital Kees Club Specialty show in April of 1999 (under breeder/judge: Col. Hal Brizee), shown by his co-breeder, Kathy Stekli-Barker. He finished his Canadian Championship easily, with back to back Gr2 & Gr3 in June 1999. When Smokee was being shown, his handler in the mid-west & Canada was Kathy Stekli-Barker and in the east, it was by owner Debra Milligan, Oakwood Kees, in Virginia. Debra died in 11/2002 and left SmoKee in the care of his favorite people. SmoKee is OFA'd, stifles vet certified tight, CERF and thyroid normal. We have him frozen for future linebreedings.
