My original breed is the Bull Terrier. My first Bull Terrier, Genny, was born in 1986. She passed away several years ago but still holds a special place in my heart. Genny bit me with the dog show bug and traveling across America showing bull terriers quickly became my passion. During the last few years, I fell in love with a miniature bull terrier. I currently live with one bull terrier, one miniature bull terrier and one very patient husband.
In 1999, I became a licensed AKC Bull Terrier and Miniature Bull Terrier judge. Although I began my judging career in the terrier group, I quickly realized that I loved several of the non-sporting breeds and, as such, I began pursuing my license in the non-sporting group.
In 2002, I solicited input from several reknowned bull terrier breeders and created the judges' educational presentation, including photos of several excellent breed examples.
I am a member of several kennel clubs: The Bull Terrier Club of America (BTCA); The Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America (MBTCA); Bonneville Basin Kennel Association (BBKA); and The Golden State Bull Terrier Club (GSBTC).
I have held several board positions throughout my 25 years as a BBKA member, including president, secretary, treasurer and board member.
