Gale has been involved in the sport of purebred dogs since 1973. Her first dog, a Weimaraner, achieved a Breed Championship, a CDX Title and two Field Ratings giving her the title of Versatility Excellent by the National Club. With only two litters to her credit she also became a BROM Dam. Prior to these activities Gale earned a Master's Degree in Music and taught voice and performed in Opera's and Musical Shows.
Finally, Gale's avocation became her vocation. She owns a large boarding kennel in Oxford, MA. The kennel has training classes as well as a daycare program, grooming, boarding, pet transportation and relocation services. Gale has been breeding & showing Weimaraners in the conformation ring and in Field & Obedience events for almost 30 years. She was the proud owner of a Dual Champion Bitch who was the #1 All Age Gun Dog for Weimaraners for two years running. In 1986, she had a dog that was in the Top Ten Field Ratings and another dog that was in the Top Ten Show Ratings. Gale has been breeding Norfolk Terriers for 20 years. Her Norfolks have won at Montgomery weekend, at the Norfolk/Norwich Nationals and at Westminster.
Gale has also bred Specialty winning German Shorthaired Pointers and Miniature Pinschers. She was a professional Handler for many years and was a member of the PHA and a CPH. Gale is an AKC judge and is approved to judge eighteen sporting breeds as well as Miniature Pinschers and Norfolk Terriers.
Gale is a member of the Weimaraner Club of America and has been Chairman and Secretary for the WCA Eastern Field Classic. She is Secretary for the Yankee Weimaraner Club and cares for the Rescue Dogs for that Club. She has been show chairperson for the YWC Specialty for many years. Gale is also a member of the Ladies Dog Club, Springfield KC and the Wachusett KC. She is a member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, the Miniature Pinscher Club of America and is on the Board of Directors of the NNTC of America.
Gale resides in Oxford, MA with her Husband, ten Weimaraners, one German Shorthaired Pointer and two Norfolk Terriers.
