I have owned and exhibited German Shepherd Dogs for over fifty years.  Surigo Shepherds have been exhibited in conformation, obedience, tracking, herding, and worked in search and rescue as well as assistance dogs.  I owned and exhibited the first German Shepherd bitch to be awarded the Award of Excellence and ROM title by the GSDCA, bred and owned eighteen American Champions, seven Canadian Champions, and obtained eleven Select Titles.  I have been President of The American German Shepherd Dog Charitable Foundation, Inc. for thirteen years and a Director for five years.  I served several years as chairperson for the GSDCA Junior Showmanship Program.  I am a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada, American Dog Show Judges, Senior Conformation Judges Association, Dog Judges Association of America, Western Dog Judges Association of America, Grand Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club, Scottsdale Dog Fanciers, Scottsdale Dog Judges Workshop, Working Dog Club of Arizona, Stewards Club of Arizona, Oregon Dog Judges, and Phoenix Field & Obedience. Judging is the most enjoyable activity I have experienced in dogs. I presently judge the Herding Group, sixteen Working Breeds, Miscellaneous Group, Junior Showmanship, and BIS. I have judged in the United States, Canada, and China. When requested, I have presented seminars on the German Shepherd Dog for several major Judges Groups.  I attended the 2003 Crufts Dog Show in Birmingham, England and the 2004 and 2005 German Sieger Show in Germany. I have attended the AKC and ACEF Judging Institutes, the AKC and ACEF Advanced Herding Institutes, the AKC and ACEF Advanced Working Institutes, the ACEF Advanced Toy Institutes, American Dog Show Judges Advanced Institute for ten years studying Herding, Working, Sporting, and Non-Sporting , as well as many other educational seminars and Institutes.
