James Berger Sr. has been in dogs since 1956 as a breeder or owner of Boxers, Dobermans, Irish Setters, German Shorthaired Pointers and Beagles.

He was an AKC licensed all-breed handler for 37 years and made more than 125 shows a year exhibiting all breeds.

He has been an AKC judge since 1994 and is approved for all Working and Best in Show.
