I Started in dogs in 1978 with my husband Steve with Chow Chows. We have bred 51 homebred Champion chows. We used the name Koby Kennels . My mother Florence Elkins and my sister Bea Naysmith bred and showed Maltese and Shih Tzu for nearly 30 years and collectively we have produced around 90 champions including many Group and Specialty winners.
We had French Bulldogs for 15 years after we retired from showing chows and then took about 7 years off from breeding and showing due to health issues.
Three years ago we decided to try it back in the ring and ventured into English bulldogs for our last "hurrah" and purchased a male puppy which turned out to be WD at two Specialties under breeder judges. After not having a litter for 13 years we decided to have one final litter which we are currently showing which produced an outstanding litter. One female was a group winner at 9 months and our 1st homebred bulldog champion . We are currently showing her sister which will be homebred Champion number 54.
I currently judge about half the Toy Group and some Non- sporting breeds and Steve judges some Non- Sporting and a couple toy breeds.
