Stuart Rogell began showing and breeding Doberman Pinschers in 1958. His father imported their first dogs from Germany that same year. He finished his first Doberman in 1963 and immediately began his apprenticeship as a professional handler. He was approved by the AKC as an all-breed professional handler in 1965.
Stuart has handled top winning show dogs in each of the seven groups recognized by AKC. He has become especially well-known for his expertise in the Working, Herding, Hound and Sporting Groups. He has always been an active participant in the dog show world, as well as being a professional handler. He served as a Director on the Board of the PHA and was a founding member, President and Show Chairman of the Evergreen Colorado Kennel Cub. He also served as President of the Columbine Dachshund Club as well as President of the Doberman Pinscher Club and Great Pyrenees Club of the Rocky Mountain Area.
Stuart was approved as a judge by the AKC in December 1991, thus attaining a lifetime goal, and retired from profesional handling, which had been his full-time profession for nearly 30 years. He now owns and operates "The Poodle Shop," a professional pet grooming salon in Littleton, CO. He takes great pride in his judging ability and his many years of accomplishments.
