Ruth M. Edwards, born and raised in Sacramento, CA, purchased her first Doberman Pinscher in 1952. Along with working fulltime, rearing two children and keeping a home, she realized this one wasn't going to be a show dog or a breeder. "In 1962 Rudy Wagner sold me a really nice male Doberman that I handled and finished, named Ch. Ru-Mar's Morgansonne CD., who was a litter brother to the 1967 Top Show Dog, Ch. Ru-Mar's Tsushima CD, owned by the Carveths."

Throughout the 1960's she handled and showed many Dobermans and finished a few, but since she still held a fulltime job, she never really had a lot of dogs nor attended many shows except those close to her home. During this time she also purchased a Standard Manchester Terrier, Ch. Tartary Morgana-son.

In 1976 she moved to Monterey, CA and remarried, but her husband was a developer and she was in real estate fulltime. In 1987 they purchased their first Smooth Fox Terrier, Ch. Legacy Molly Morgansonne CD and she has exhibited, bred and enjoyed this breed very much.

She is a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, the American Fox Terrier Club, was a Charter Member and Secretary of the Doberman Pinscher Club of Sacramento and currently is Recording Secretary and occasional Show Chairman for the Del Monte Kennel Club.
