Allen M. Buckner first began showing dogs in 1957 with an English Cocker Spaniel. Since then he has bred champions in English Cockers, Miniature Schnauzers, Norwich Terriers, English Toy Spaniels, Shih Tzu and Standard Poodles.

Having owned a boarding kennel and grooming business for over 30 years, he has been involved with dogs all his adult life. He is a member of the Dog Judges Association of America; Mason-Dixon Dog Judges Association; Mid-Atlantic Dog Judges Association; The English Toy Spaniel Club of America and The Baltimore County Kennel Club. He is currently Show Chairman for the Baltimore County Kennel Club, having previously served in that capacity for two other all-breed clubs.

He currently judges English Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Schnauzers, Norfolk and Norwich Terriers, Affenpinschers, Brussels Griffon, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Chinese Cresteds, English Toy Spaniels, Maltese, Pomeranians, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terriers and Poodles. He hopes to soon expand his judging agenda to include all breeds in the Toy Group.
