I have been participating in the sport of dogs practically since birth. The second generation of dog person in my family, I earned my first CH points in 1980. I competed in Juniors with my Pomeranian and was the #1 Toy handler in the US for 1986 & 1987 (Canine Chronicle System). I have apprenticed for a number of Professional Handlers over the years, including Jon Woodring, Sue Whaley, Greg Strong and Doug Holloway. In 1990 I began handling professionally myself and have had the privledge of handling numerous dogs in all groups. These dogs have included some top Specials as well, where we earned National Specialty BIS, Numerous Group 1's, as well as an endless list of group placements and Specialty AOMs. A few of these dogs included the #1 Field Spaniel in 1996 (Ch. Winterose Dustin Windstorm) #1 Field Spaniel in 1999 (Ch. Winterose Kngsmead Shameless), #3 Field Spaniel in 2003, 2004 (Ch. Coralmist Close Encounter), #2 American Eskimo (Ch. Catara's Frosty the Snow Prince), and #7 Pomeranian (Ch. Idlewyld Semi-Precious Gem). I was President of the Field Spaniel Society of America (9/2006 - 2/2009) and National Specialty Chair in 2002 & 2008. I am currently a Junior Showmanship Judge and I am working to apply to judge Field Spaniels and Pomeranians.
