Pat was introduced to Dobermans when he started dating Judy and bought her another Dobe as a wedding present. They bred many Dobermans and handled most to their Championships under the kennel prefix, Toledobes. They still breed at least one litter per year and many are seen in the ring.

In 1969 Pat made application to judge Dobermans. Several years later he broadened his scope to include the balance of Working and then the Herding Group, as well as Junior Showmanship and Best in Show.

Due to his business commitments he has not found time to expand beyond these two Groups. Pat judges most every week in this country as well as many foreign countries. He has also judged many National Specialties. When time permits he will make application for Sporting Breeds, but not until he retires from his business.

Pat is the father of three grown daughters and one son and has seven grandchildren. His hobbies are Little League Baseball (which he has coached for 25 years) and sports of any kind.
