I had Pomeranians and Gordon Setters during my teens. My husband gave a Dachshund to me for a wedding present. We later purchased a Pomeranian, joined a local kennel club, and decided to breed and show the best we could. Shortly after that we became interested in Irish Setters and Norwich Terriers. We bred and showed nearly 100 Champions in those 3 breeds.
Judging was the next step for me. I currently judge Setters, Groups 4 & 5, 1/2 of the breeds in Group 6, BIS, Jr. Showmanship, & Misc.
I am a life member of the Irish Setter Club of Milwaukee and the Manitowoc County KC. I am also Past President and past show Chair of Manitowoc County KC & Sheboygan KC.
For about 20 years, I have had the honor to serve on the American Pomeranian Club Board, was their first Education Coordinator, and have written many Pom articles in several magazines. I am a Life Member of the APC and had the great honor of judging our American Pomeranian Club National Centennial Specialty Show.
We reside in Florida during the coldest months of the Wisconsin weather. I am a retired school teacher, majoring in the Education, Art, and Biology fields & do substitute teaching, elementary through high school when in WI.
When substituting, I bring the dog magazines to school that I have finished reading. At the end of the day, when the students have behaved and worked nicely, I give the magazines to those "best" students. The kids look forward to them. I truely enjoy kids, dogs, and the dog people.
