I was in graduate school (philosophy at The Ohio State University) when I got my first show dog, a Siberian Husky. Dog shows, a boarding kennel, AKC approval as a licensed handler and PHA membership followed over the next years.  When it became time to finish the degree program I gave up on the handling, was approved by AKC as a judge, and joined some fellow graduate students at a high technology start-up. For the last eighteen years I have held executive positions at a software and services company with executive responsibilities ranging from marketing to consulting services to international operations where I managed business development and marketing initiatives in a range of countries.  I was show chairman at the Delaware Ohio Kennel Club numerous times, am a member of the Central Ohio Judges Association, the Siberian Husky Club of America, the Senior Conformation Judges Association, the Dog Judges Association of America, and am the treasurer of the American Chesapeake Club.  I am an amateur triathlete focusing on Ironman distance races; live in Alexandria, OH with my wife, 5 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, 3 Parson Russell Terriers and 2 cats.
