EVELYN BETTY PETERSON

Betty Peterson grew up with horses and dogs as her constant companions and she developed a great love for both. Owning and caring for her own horse and dogs she also learned about structure, movement, etc. Today she realizes how valuable these early lessons were.

Her "Quantico" Kennel was permanently registered in 1963 when she began breeding and showing Chihuahuas under the Quantico prefix.

She enjoyed a great deal of success with her dogs. Her most well-known was Am.Can.Mex. Ch. Quantico's Little Crusader, rightly named, since it is felt he is the only Canadian dog to achieve the distinction of becoming the top winning Chihuahua in the USA for three consecutive years, wining most major Chihuahua Specialties and numerous BIS awards prior to being retired.

Mrs. Peterson became an all-breed judge in the early '70's and has officiated at shows all over the world, including many in the U.S. She was honored to judge at the Canadian Centennial Show as well as many breed specialties in Canada, USA, Australia and Belgium.

Mrs. Peterson has served continuously as Vice President of the Canadian National Chihuahua Club since its inception, and is also a Life Member of the Canadian Kennel Club.
