Ken Hammond commenced breeding and showing in 1970 with Irish Setters and Dobermanns, successfully campaigning both breeds to many BIS wins before concentrating directly on his main love, the Dobermann.
Under the Kenardobe prefix, Ken has bred and exhibited many champions, including his current litter of Multi BIS winners. He has also bred and handled Scottish Terriers, owned and handled Pugs, German Shorthaired Pointers, Whippets, Beagles and Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Director and Owner of Kenar Park Risk Management which specializes in fire safety engineering.
Ken's show and administrative experience is extensive. He is past President of the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc (state controlling body of the Australian National Kennel Council) and chairperson of a number of TCA Inc committees.
Ken is licensed to judge all 7 groups (All Breeds) and Best in Show and has judged in most states of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Philippines, Ireland, England Finland and Canada with future appointments in New Zealand, USA, Finland and Sweden. Along with his wife Narelle he enjoys the opportunity of travelling to new places and meeting new dog people throughout the world.
