BIOGRAPHY FOR LYNDA PORTISS

January 2011

          My husband Robert and I live on a 3 acre residence near Claremore, OK. My professional life spans a 30 year career as a secondary education teacher.  I first became interested in showing dogs in 1986 after retiring from the rodeo circuit riding and training barrel racing horses.  My first obedience dogs were schipperkes, followed by my first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Tally, in 1987.  Since then my love for this breed has grown to include being owed currently by three resident corgis:  Khaki, Cher and Ayrri. I participate in conformation, rally, obedience, tracking and herding.
