Mr. Terry Temple, a dog-lover since childhood, obtained and exhibited his first showdog, a Saint Bernard, in 1964. After several years of successful exhibiting, and breeding the top Saint Bernard specialty winner in 1972, he obtained his first Newfoundland in 1980. After marriage to his wife, Sara, in 1974 they established Forever Saints Kennel in Ellington, Connecticut. They moved their kennel to Vandalia, Ohio in 1987 when Terry was transferred there. Terry held many offices in the Saint Bernard Club of America and the Ohio St. Bernard Club since 1964. He chaired AKC/SBCA Slide Show Committee and the SBCA National Specialty in 1984. He is currently a member of the Dayton KC, St. Bernard Club of America, and the Greater Cincinnati SBC. After a long career in management and marketing of high technology products and R&D, he is in a second career as Operations Manager for the Advanced Integrated Manufacturing Center in Dayton. Terry is an avid runner.
Terry was first approved as a provisional judge in 1969 and is currently approved for all Working breeds, Group III and three Belgian breeds in Group VII. He has judged national specialties in St. Bernards and Newfoundlands several times, as well as the World Union of St. Bernard Clubs "world specialty" show in Switzerland in 1994. He has also judged specialties in numerous breeds, including: Siberians, Malamutes, Belgian Sheepdogs, Portuguese Water Dogs, Standard Schnauzers, and Boxers. He is judging in New Zealand in October 1997.
