My passion for Great Danes began in 1976 when we purchased a fawn bitch from Marilyn Riggins (Tara).  She has been a friend, mentor and subsequent partner, along with Nancy Lerch (Orleans), and the late Marie Fint.  I use the kennel name "Chimo", which is an Inuit (or Eskimo) word for "friend".  We formed the Texas Connection (TX-C) in 1987 and remain dedicated to the betterment of the breed and the education of new judges and breeder/owners.  I have owned, bred or handled, multiple BIS, BISS Danes, and have finished over 40 AKC Champions.  I also enjoy showing my own dogs.

We continue to be involved in local and national breed clubs, and have all served in some capacity in executive positions, as well as working to produce educational and informative National Specialties.  I began judging matches and sweepstakes in 1984, and in my years as a licenced judge, have been invited to judge in many cities in the USA.
