Candy began showing Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers in 1972. Those were soon to be followed with Collies, rough and smooth. Her highlight in Collies was winning BOV at the 1980 Collie Club of America with Ch. Mel-Bar's Murmur In The Night. Several Aust. Sheps and Cardigans graced the premise of Marnac, too. The move to Pembroke Welsh Corgis was an attempt to downsize. There were years as 4-H County Dog Leader which lead her to love judging Junior Showmanship. She is now serving her second term on the Kansas Governor's appointed Kansas Pet Animal Advisory Board, working with legislation and regulations governing puppy mills, hobby kennel, pet shops and much more in Kansas. She is a member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, Collie Club of America, Heart of America Kennel Club and Sunflower Kennel Club.
