MILDRED E. ("MID") ROTHROCK

Mildred E. ("Mid") Rothrock entered the world of dog shows when she and her family acquired their first Rottweiler in 1953 -- a year in which only 500 were registered with the AKC! With 10 points toward his championship, including a five-point major and a Group Third, and being trained and shown in the Open Obedience Class, her dog became suddenly ill and died at the age of two-and-a-half.

However, Mid as continued to own, train and show Rottweilers ever since and her dogs have earned championships, obedience titles and tracking titles. Noble, CDX, TDX was the first male Rottweiler to earn a TDX and only the 25th of any breed to do so. Her present dogs are Ch. Titus, UDT and a young bitch just starting her obedience career. In 1984 a Papillon joined the family and is a CDX, TD dog. A previous Rottweiler also earned her herding title from the AHBA.

Mid's interest in tracking led her to become first a tracking judge, then an obedience judge and since 1982 she has been approved for all classes and TD/TDX tests. Assignments have taken her around the continental U.S. as well as multiple trips to Alaska and Hawaii and an assignment in Mexico. She has judged at many all-breed shows, obedience club trials and National and Regional Specialties.
