Charlotte acquired her first purebred dog, a Sheltie, in the late 1950's. She showed in Juniors and was a regular steward at New England dog shows before she could drive a car. Her Rorralore prefix can be found on many champions in Shelties, Dandie Dinmont Terriers and more recently, Papillons. Rorralore has been the home to many Sheltie Specialty winners including Am. Can. Ch. Rorralore Sportin ' Chance CD ROM who won 28 specialties including the national and 3 allbreed BIS as well as numerous groups, including the old full working group. In Dandies, Charlotte's Ch. Charlieshope Au Courant was a national specialty winner and Montgomery BB winner with 6 champions to her credit. In the last 25 years, Charlotte has been breeding Papillons with 41 homebred champions to date including specialty and group winners and a number of PCA sires and dams of merit. Her Ch. Loteki Life of the Party is a PCA Dam of Distinction with 11 champions produced. Charlotte is author of "The Shetland Sheepdog In America" and numerous articles about her breeds and dogs in general. Charlotte's judging career began in the late 1960's with Shelties and she is now a multiple group judge. Her mentors included Rachel Page Elliott who included a sketch of Charlotte's first BIS Sheltie in her Dog Steps book.
Charlotte considers herself a breeder first but has also taught show handling, presented numerous seminars and has in the past coordinated approximating 90 different breed seminars for a local judges group. She is a member of The Ladies Dog Club, The Papillon Club of America, The American Shetland Sheepdog Association (honorary life member), The Northeast Judges Workshop, The Patriot Papillon Club, The Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club (UK), Papillon Canada, the Colonial Shetland Sheepdog Club (honorary life member), the National Animal Interest Alliance, and the Mass. Federation of Dog Clubs and Responsible Dog Owners.
