David M. Krogh #1260
David M.
Krogh of Tualatin, Oregon began his life in "dogs" in 1961 with a
little white Toy Poodle. His first American Kennel Club (AKC) event was an
Obedience Trial as an
exhibitor.
Dave and
his wife Sherrie's first breeding program was in Miniature Pinschers in 1965.
During the next twenty years K-Roc (the Krogh's kennel prefix) finished 40
champions of which three were BIS dogs, many multi group winners, and a
National Specialty Winner. All these dogs were breeder/owner handled.
Dave has
spent much of the last forty-six years in service to several dog clubs.
He served as the President of Clackamas Kennel Club for 18 years, and retired
to the Board of Directors in May 2005. Dave is a life member of Dog
Fanciers Association of Oregon, INC., and The Miniature Pinscher Club of
America where he served as President for two years and on the Board of
Directors for 13 years. He also served as an AKC delegate for 6
years. Dave is a member of the Oregon Dog Judges group, and was
Co-Chairman for the Toy Seminars held in January of 2008. He has served on over
150 show committees.
Dave
applied to judge dogs for the American Kennel Club in 1977, and today he is
approved to judge All Toys, All Non-Sporting and fourteen Terrier Breeds.
He has judged extensively in the United States, and several times in Canada,
Taiwan and China.
Dave
counts among the highlights of his judging assignments the AKC/Eukanuba
National Championship and The Miniature Pinscher Club of America National
Specialty three times.
