Dios Sheltie Rescue, Inc. The Del Dios Sheltie Rescue was founded in 1991 by a group of Sheltie enthusiasts which included Michael Macnamara. That group of founders also included JoAnne Priemer who has been the Director since 1993. DDSR incorporated and was awarded 501 (c) 3 public charity status in 1998 making donations tax deductible. Since, 1991 we have placed over 600 shelties and a few mixed breed, and non-sheltie pure breed dogs into new homes.
