About the Breeder:
I am a veterinarian with over 30 years experience in dog health issues. I fell in love with Havanese in the late 80's and obtained my first one in 1992. Formerly a 'big dog' person, I am totally smitten with these sweet, funny, charming little ragmops. My focus, in breeding, is to produce typey dogs who are sound both physically and mentally. Preserving the health of the breed is a prime directive for me. In 1999, with Diane Klumb, I founded HEART (Havanese Eye Angels Research Team) to raise money to fund research into heritable cataracts. We are currently working with Dr Keith Murphy and other noted scientists, to investigate causes of health issues in Havanese, so that we can eliminate these problems.
