About the Breeder:
J. Dara's Boxers came into existence in 1992 with the birth of our first litter. We had owned boxers for a number of years, and caught the bug for showing and breeding. Our humble beginnings were with Mugsy, a dog that may not have had the best pedigree going, but he lived to be 13 years old. It was his great personality and character that was the driving force in our search to learn more about the breed, and to become involved in the breeding and showing of these magnificent animals! As our knowledge grew, we took issues of health, pedigree, temperament, and the Boxer Standard very seriously; and are now in our 8th year of breeding quality boxers as we continue to try to breed that all perfect example of the breed. Although we have yet to have our own home bred champion, we are looking for that to happen in the near future. The majority of our boxers are owner handled, which can make the task of acquiring a championship a bit more daunting, but none-the-less fun! Not every puppy we breed is bound for the show ring, and those that are not sold to show homes are sold with spay neuter agreements. We feel we must do our part in making sure our puppies don't end up in the wrong hands and worsen the already terrible plight of the many overbred and uncared for dogs in this world that often end up in rescue situations.
