About the Breeder:
Here at Boniglen Kennels, we have a commitment to soundness of mind and body in our breeding program. Although we have been Sheltie pet owners since the 1970s, we were fortunate to meet Jane Hammett (Shadow Hill Shelties) in 1990, and she gave us our start in show dogs. She has been our mentor and friend, and we thank her for all of her guidance. Our first show dog was Ch. Edgemont's Blue Rembrandt 'Trouble', a blue merle Sheltie purchased from Jane Hammett as a special. He was a multiple group placer for us, and was the canine half of a very successful Jr. Showmanship team with our daughter, Ashley, who was ranked in the top 5 juniors in the country several years running. Trouble left us for the Rainbow Bridge at age 16, but we are fortunate to have his grandchildren to carry on his legacy in the show ring and our breeding program. We have become involved in other breeds and have trained and finished Belgian Sheepdogs, Great Pyrenees, Harriers, Pointers and several other AKC breeds.
