About the Breeder:
We own a small farm about 1/2 hour South of Albany in Greene County, NY. We have owned and loved Rhodiesian Ridgebacks since 1991, and purchased out first show puppy in 2005. We are members of RRCUS, and adhere to their breeding code of ethics. http://www.rrcus.org/assets/html/about/COE.pdf We have great passion and respect for this amazing breed. We have found Ridgebacks to have the perfect blend of qualities for our family - they are wonderful with children, sensitive and kind, yet can be protective if and only if they are called upon to be. Ridgebacks readily embrace the entire family, although at their core, they are one person dogs and desire a close bond with their chosen person. Ridgebacks are very intelligent, clever animals, but can also be stubborn. They are usually adept counter surfers. They are generally quiet indoors but absolutely need regular exercise and benefit greatly from a strong family connection. Ridgebacks are not the breed for everyone, but when it is a good fit, it is truly an amazing relationship.
