About the Breeder:
25 years raising and field trialing Labrador Retrievers. In 2006, fell in love with the Havanese breed and obtained our first puppy. We now have our first champion, CH Bonneterre Saltwater Taffy, with our foundation bitch, Bonneterre Keep the Dream, and puppies coming on. With Dr. Nick Elam, we still have one Labrador, AFC FC Shooter's Sugar Cookie active in trials. We breed our dogs selectively, one litter a year; we are not a puppy farm. All puppies are health tested. For the Havanese this means liver bile acids, Baer, health certificates and have health guarentee. Our Havanese litter parents are certified Havana Silk Dogs, with health certificates (OFA CHIC numbers, liver bile acids, CERF) and soaped photos to show structures. Our Havanese puppies are dual registered AKC and as HSD (for those desiring the dual registration). Health and temperment are our main concerns--and if a puppy shows, that is wonderful, but the goal is a healthy and long lived puppy who is a loved family member.
