About the Breeder:
I am a Biology major and a 1970 graduate of a 2 year Vet Tech program and bred (and showed a little) German Shepherds for almost 40 years. I also have horses and about 25 years ago I got my first Jack Russell Terrier. She was a broken coated black and white and JRTCA reg. My oldest son got his first small Russell terrier in 2000 from his godmother, her name was Sophie and she was NKC reg. My son was killed in 2002 and a lot of the terriers I have now come from Sophie's line. I purchased a small smooth and a small rough male that would compliment my lines. I look for balance, terrier attitude, athletic ability and a good temperment, on top of the standard conformation requirements (good topline, straight legs, correct ear and tail set, good scissor bite and triangular shaped head). I screen all of my adults (eyes, hearing, patellular luxation, correct bite)before they are bred.
