About the Breeder:
Birchrose English Springer Spaniels is dedicated to the improvement of the English Springer Spaniel. Temperament, health, intelligence, and conformation are most important. Birchrose believes that quality is more important than quantity. No dog/bitch is bred before the age of two and all health checks (hips, eyes, thyroid, etc.) must be completed and favorable. Bitches are not bred at back-to-back heat cycles or after the age of seven. Eyes are CERF'd annually. It took 15 years before I found they I felt was healthy enough and had the right temperment to breed. I acquired a bitch from Birchwood English Springer Spaniels and she has become my foundation bitch for Birchrose English Springer Spaniels. I began showing ESSs in obebience in the late 1980s and achived sevaral CDs, CDXs, and UDs with AKC, UKC, and CKC. In 2001 I began showing in conformation and since then have made this my main focus. I work closely with Robert A. Satoloe (Birchwood) on my breeding program. Mr. Satoloe has over 25 years of breeding experience. We do not breed out dogs often and are very selective on the breedings.
