About the Breeder:
Compared to other breeds, Chows are becoming pretty rare! Some breeders only want to sell to you if you spay/neuter, while all too many others are flooding the gene pool with some of the poorest-quality traits ever seen! Chows are an ancient breed that share the same DNA as the wolf and only 14 other breeds of dog can claim this fact. I just became aware of this lately and started breeding Chows recently. After owning Chows for over 23 years, I feel that prudent and responsible breeding to maintain the breed standard is the only way to show respect to this beautiful, proud and original breed.
