Silky Terriers have become a HUGE part of my life. Ask my family! I think this is the greatest breed and wish to protect for the future what I have today. This breed is a 'true' terrier in all aspects of the word. Never be fooled by what you 'see'. I have bred and exhibited in AKC Dog Shows for over 35 yrs. Once I found Silkys I settled into this breed only. I breed to standard for structure, size, color and temperament. It is most important for this breed to be in a home that understands their personality or you will quickly be unhappy with this breed. You need to deal with reputable breed that explains the ins and outs of owning a Silky. They are not the breed for everyone and not always the best for young children. They are intelligent, beautiful, alert and stubborn all at the same time! Never under estimate what they will or can do.
