About the Breeder:
I started with poodles in 1961 and ultimately established the kennel name of Chaud Chien based on two British kennels; Tranchant and Lochranza. During some 15 years of many trips to the U.K., I coveted the curly coated retriever breed, making friends with the Phillips of Gladrags Kennels in Wales, named top kennel in the U.K for 14 years. By 1990, we allied in a project to import an entire breeding program. Success has been proven in the first 8 litters that produced 35 champions, 5 international, 2 field titles, 3 obedience titles and 1 Deutch/CACIB title. Gladrags predigrees are tightly line bred eliminating as many health issues as possible. All stock is OFA good or excellent and the eyes are cleared with CERF. My greatest joy is constant contact with all the owners who willingly share incredible stories of curly wit and companionship....all of which I would delight in sharing with you.
