About the Breeder:
I have been a member of The Great Pyrenees Club of America (GPCA) since 1972 and have been on the Board of Directors of that Club for a number of years. I have been very active in The Pyrenean Fanciers of the Northeast (PFNE) since its inception. I have rescued dogs and counseled people about their dog's behavior for close to 40 years. Call anytime to talk to me if you are having a problem with your Great Pyrenees. If you do not reach me the first time, please call back. I have owned Great Pyrenees since 1968. Temperament is one of the most important aspects of this breed and I breed for temperament along with closely following the standard for the breed. I have shown dogs extensively since I purchased my first dogs. Although I do not show dogs every weekend, I have owned top winning dogs for many years. Right now I am showing a dog that I do not own. His name is Ch. Maranatha Nicholas Nickleby. He is in the top 20 right now and we have just started showing him. The dog that lives with us all the time is Ch Pyrfection Honore Daumier. He was 8th in the Country in 2003. We have a new puppy coming up. He is 4 months old at the time of this writing. His call name is Tonka (my husband named him). His registered name has not been decided yet. We do not have a kennel as our dogs live in the house now, but when I had a setup that allowed me to have many dogs, I still brought everyone of my dogs in the house every day. At that time, we had a small farm with sheep and used to put some of the dogs out with the sheep. Therefore, I do have limited experience with Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGD).
