About the Breeder:
I have been involved in the sport of dogs since 1973 when I began as a Junior Handler and assistant to several different professional handlers. I have always primarily owned, groomed and showed sporting dogs such as English Springer Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, German Shorthaired Pointers and now Clumber Spaniels since 1998. I took a break from my dog hobby for several years to complete my college degree and start a family. My husband Bob, and I got our first Clumber, Maddie (Ch. Cameo Comedy The Divine Ms. M, JH, SH, MH) in 1998. By 1999, Maddie had finished her show championship. She has 2 Sporting Group placements and many Best of Breed wins to her credit, all the while being owner handled and shown only on a limited basis. Maddie's biggest accomplishment by far however is her distinction as the first Clumber Spaniel in breed history to earn the Master Hunter title. She was entirely owner trained and handled by my husband Bob to this title. Bob is now also an AKC approved Hunting Test judge. Since Maddie has been very busy in the show ring and field, we have bred Maddie once so far. She produced a litter of puppies that is at this time one year old. The puppies produced have done exceptionally well so far in the show ring and the field. We plan to breed Maddie again in the spring of 2004, and hopefully we will have another wonderful litter of puppies from her. Our kennel name is Creswick and we are dedicated to the concept of the dual purpose Clumber. One that is equally at home in the show ring, out in the field, and/or being a wonderful, sweet and soft companion to whoever is lucky enough to own them.
