About the Breeder:
I got my first poodle as a child in 1964. He was just a pet but he did come from the Tophill Kennels in England. I learned about the world of poodles from my love of this first dog. I got my first show dog as a teen, I did a little showing and bred a couple of litters while still a teen. I learned a great deal about the early show dogs that made our breed what it is today. After that I raised a family of my own as I had no one interested in dogs. Anyway My daughter Melissa and I now actively show and breed miniature poodles. Melissa has her white poodles and I have my black poodles, and now browns. I bought my foundation bitch AKC and Int. Ch. Burline Hardt's Desire. She is a very lovely, sound bitch with a wonderful temperment. I waited over a year and a half while looking at who was showing what before I decided on my 'Desi'. She has been well worth the wait and has lived up to her name. Melissa and I are currently showing three of 'Desi's' offspring and her two sons are on their way to their championships. We have younger pups waiting to enter the show rings. We currently have a gorgeous black male puppy and a gorgeous brown male puppy available to show homes. 'Desi' has a current cerf, and is a optongen A rating. Mickey recieved a second place in American Bred Dogs at PCA 2003 and Desi won Best Miniature Brood Bitch at PCA 2003. Maverick has a Best of Variety and group four placement from the Bred By Exhibitor class.We breed for show and health and all our dogs are home raised with lots of love.
