About the Breeder:
I have owned, loved and kept Great Danes as family member since 1993. My business name and license is under 'Delta Dane Kennel' or 'DDK'. Currently I have a third generation of Harlequin line bred Great Danes. I breed infrequently and selectively for specific traits. I health screen for thyroid, heart, eye and hip defects. I have a Batchelor Degree in Animal Sciences (WSU '97) and orginally started with livestock breeding and showing as a teen-ager. Occassionally I am in the show ring as an Owner-Handler. I will co-own dogs on a limited basis. All puppies are placed in homes on contract - firm, no exception. Maverick was in the show ring in 2002/2003 and won 1 WD, 4 RWD, 1 Best BBE, 1 BOS, and 1 BOS Specialty Puppy ('02). He is no longer in the show ring because his height fell a little short at only 32 inches. However, he is a proven producer of harl color and correct conformation (minus the height). His last litter produced 17 harl/mantle/merl puppies. He is available to approved bitches by stud contract.
