******2 BEAUTIFULL Scotties Available For Adoption****** Two beautiful black wee Scottie lassies born October 29th, 2006 are available NOW for adoption. One female & one male. All puppies are raised in our smoke free home. Puppies are devoutely hand raised under foot with no skimping on daily handeling or interaction with other resident Scotties. Puppy gos home with EVERYTHING he or she needs for easy transition to her new home, including travel crate, along with a complamentary Puppy Care Kit, filled with a 8 pound bag of Purina Mills Exclusive Puppy Food, puppy treats, collar, leash & harness, a rope chew toy he or she has played with, more new toys & treats & etc., a clean lap sized piece of their kennel blanket they were born on, that has been laundered then rubbed on their mother,father, and siblings for their sent, to ease puppys transition from leaving mom, dad and siblings, vet record indicating wormings, & shots & lifetime adoption agreement. ***ABOUT OUR SCOTTYS'*** We are owned by 8 AKC registered Scottish Terriers. 'Lacie',(Chantilly's Midnight Lace), 'Mister Dickens',(Mister Dickens II of Killdeer) & 'Lady', (Lady Elaine of Brechin) 'Kassie' (Misses Kassie Wickham); Mister Laddie; Bonnie (Ms. Bonnie-Banks of Loch Lomon) & Butter-Scotch (Miss. Butter-Scotch of Killdeer). None of my Scotties are related, nor do they display any genitic health or skin issues. 'Lacie' came from TN, 'Mister Dickens' came from SD & 'Lady' came from WV. Lacie, the alfa dog is NOW RETIRED at 7 years of age. Mr. Dickens is 6 yrs old Lady is 4; Kassie is 2, Bonnie & Butter-Scotch are 1 1/2 years old, Dutchess Dianne is 9 months old & Mister Laddie is 10 weeks old. Dutchess & Laddiewere born here on the farm. All 8 Scotties are very well tempered, friendly & social, with a devoted & loving relationship with each other, as well as with us. They Ahrooool the roost. We Ahroooo & play Scottie with them all the time. They are even allowed to sleep in bed with us. It is hard to find enough leg room some times. We fit right in. Our Scottys are devotedly hand raised in a smoke free home, well socialized, and vet cared for until they go home with their new Forever Family. My Scotties will prove to be fine 'Companion' pets for any family that truly understands the unique nature of the Scotty. ***ABOUT ME*** I am 57, married (to the same man for nearly 35 years)the mother of our 2 (married) children, a retired nurse(LPN) Scottish Terrier owner and breeder, with a life long love affair with the Scotty. After having helped raise and educated our 2 children, I am now realizing my long awaited ambition of being owned by and breeding Scottish Terriers on our rural 40 acre farm (Killdeer Farm) in central West Virginia. I breed QUALITY COMPANION Scottish Terriers for families that truly love the Scotty and have no desire to purchase a 'Show' Scotty. Although there may be 'Show' potential, there are no guarantees. ***My husband, Pat,is also 57 & retired from the Navy after 25 + years, 13 years ago. He is a Certified Farrier (12 years). We own a horse, stock & utility trailer sales & Purina Mills feed store business. This provides you with the opportunity to meet the Scotties that own us as well as the other adopting Forever Families. You will then select your puppy, place a colored collar on him/her and begin bonding with your wee one. ***PLEASE READ ALL THE FINE PRINT THAT FOLLOWS*** ***CONTRACTS & APPLICATIONS****A Family ADOPTION APPLICATION & PURCHASE AGREEMENTS ARE REQUIRED. This is not an option, I must have the application prior to placing any puppy with a family.**A Copy of the application & purchase agreement are available for review via email to all prospective families. NO APPLICATION....NO PUPPY, NO EXCEPTIONS. ***Vet RECORDS & AKC REGISTRATION(Papers)*** UNLIMITED or LIMITED AKC registration Applications shall be given ONLY upon finalization of the adoption. (Mothers & Fathers pedigree provided upon request).*** ***DEPOSIT, DELIVERY & SHIPMENT & KENNEL FEES*** NO AIRLINE SHIPPING. GROUND SHIPMENT ONLY THROUGH LNT Transport ONLY Adoption Fees Are as Follows: *** LIMITED AKC:*** Female or Male:$900 Deposit $200 Balance Due:$700 ***UNLIMITED AKLC:*** Female or Male: $1,400 Deposit $400 Balance Due $1,000(excludes your pre-paid ground shipment fees & any vet fees if due. Understandably, you are required to pre pay ALL shipping fees prior to shipment...OR...adoptivefamily may arrange to meet breeder. I will travel up to 200 miles in any direction. Distances greater than 200 miles @ a fee of $.85/ mile..,OR.. adopting flamily may arrange pick up here at Killdeer Farm (prefered.)Any puppy not picked up or delivered after 16 weeks of age, will be charged $2.00/day kennel care fee.*** ***DEPOSITS & REFUNDS*** Your deposit will be refunded if you choose to cancel your reservation, ONLY AFTER a replacement deposit for the puppy which you reserved, is received from another adopting family.*** ***THE FINE PRINT*** You MUST be willing to submit an adoption application. No puppy will be placed in a home without it. You MUST be PROPERLY ABLE to provide LIFE LONG CARE for Lacies' or Lady's babies. You MUST give them a KIND, LOVING, HEALTHY, SECURE and PROTECTIVE home. IF FOR ANY REASON you find you can not provide the home environment described, I will either take the wee one back,-or-you may, with my assistance find a new adoptive family. Once the puppy has been placed with another family, you will receive a full refund of your purchase price only. You will be required to provide return ground transport via Feather & Fur transportation ONLY, *-OR-* the adopting family(owner) may arrange to meet me at a pre-determined destination, for a one way rate of $.85 per mile. Preceeding the return of puppy, you must have had the puppy vet checked again, no longer than 72 hours prior to the return of your puppy & have that vet reoprt in hand, or with shipment. You MUST RETURN ALL AKC REGISTRATION PAPERS & VET RECOPRDS. ***A Personel Note*** As you can see we are decidedly very dedicated to all our animals. We only want them to have the very, very best of care & be devoutly loved & cared for all their lives. We will not tollerate any of Lacie's or Lady's puppies ending up in a shelter for any reason. There is no shame in having to give up a dog, (or any animal). The shame lays in knowing,(for whatever reason) that you can no longer manage to give your dog the home you intended, & then not surrender your dog into a home that is just as loving & devoted, yet are a bit better equiped to cope with the demands of a Scotty & provide the home/family environment you initially intended. And with luck, the re-placeing of your dog with another family may result in that family being a favorite friend, neighbor or family member. So PLEASE, do not ever hesitate to let us know if things just are not working out as you had hoped or intended. We will do everything we can, to help you and your puppy. No matter how old, or their health status, I will take the wee one back home with us at Killdeer Farm. We have taken in 1 pony, 2 horse, 6 mini donkeys,& 8 stray cats here at Killdeer Farm, just so they could live out their elderly years in peace & quiet, & with devotion and an over abundance of love.
