About the Breeder:
We have had German Shorthaired Pointers since 1974. We have had Vizslas for 12 years and English Cocker Spaniels for 4 years. We exhibit in over 50+ shows per year. We have bred and owned multiple champions, Best of Breed winners, Group Placers, Hunting, Obedience and Tracking titled dogs, as well as a National Specialty Champion. We were instrumental in establishing the hunting test forum as an AKC event having run one of the first experimental hunt tests with AKC cooperation in the mid-eighties. We offer field, hunt test, companion hunting and conformation training and handling. When breeding any of our breeds, temperment is the most important factor with health, hunting ability and sound conformation following. All of our dogs are tested for any health issue present in the breed and are cleared prior to breeding. We are happiest when people who have bought puppies from us in the past return for a 'Roscommon Puppy'. We adhere to our breeds 'Breeders Code of Ethics' and gaurantee all of our puppies and dogs. We are member in GSP Clubs and have held office in several as well as chaired many AKC events from Field Trials to Specialty Shows. We are members in the VCCNE and currently the chair for their Specialty. Our dogs are all house dogs and our puppies are raised as part of the family. You can always tell a 'Roscommon Dog', he's the one with the wagging tail!
